Common issues

The overlay isn't appearing on a recipe page

A few things to check:

  • Make sure the extension is enabled (chrome://extensions)
  • Try reloading the page
  • The site needs to have Schema.org Recipe markup. Free accounts are limited to the 12 supported sites listed on the homepage.
  • If it was working before, check if you've hit your daily limit (5/day on Free)
The macro numbers don't look right

MacroScan estimates are typically within 5-10% of accurate values for common ingredients. A few factors that affect accuracy:

  • Vague ingredient descriptions ("1 chicken breast" can vary by 3-5oz)
  • Cooking methods change calorie density (roasted vs. raw weights differ)
  • Branded ingredients vs. generic USDA data

Pro accounts get AI-enhanced parsing which improves accuracy on complex ingredients.

My license key isn't activating

Make sure you're entering the key exactly as it appears in your email, including the dashes (format: MS-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). Keys are case-insensitive.

If you still can't activate, email us with your order confirmation and we'll sort it out.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Visit the billing portal via the link in your original purchase confirmation email, or email us and we'll send you the direct link. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

I want a refund

Email us within 7 days of your charge. We'll review and process refunds that are reasonable. We're not trying to keep your money if the product didn't work for you.
